HYDRO-UTOPIA
SPRING 2025 // EXHIBITION / VERSAILLES BIENALLE 2025 // ALSAR-ATELIER // 48.801434, 2.130536 // VERSAILLES, FRANCE
THIS PROJECT IS THE PROPERTY OF ALSAR-ATELIER, CYRUS GAGAZA, JEAN CHOI
In an exhibition project for the Versailles Archtiecture Bienalle, the proposal is defined as a utopian speculation on how to inhabit the atmosphere as a collective solution for informal (self-built) neighborhoods located at high altitudes in the global south. More than an architectural proposal our design is a futuristic provocation on how fog harvesting could be industrialized to support food security in informal environments through urban agriculture. The proposal is a direct reference to the “1909” theorem drawn by A.B Walker and present in Rem Koolhaas’s Delirious New York as a methodology of utopian, ecological, and vertical inhabitation.
